Meet the Team
Sydney Ugalde
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
Sydney Ugalde founded The Biscayne Group in 2021 with a vision of making high-quality and experienced talent accessible and affordable to local candidates, campaigns, and small businesses.
The name Biscayne comes from her grandfather’s construction company, Biscayne Construction, which he founded in 1968 after immigrating to the United States from Spain. Biscayne is a diminutive of the Bay of Biscay where he was born and raised.
Sydney has a decade of experience at all levels of the political process and brings innovation and excitement to our clients. Sydney served two terms as Chair of the Morris County Young Republicans and at 21, was elected the youngest Republican County Committee Municipal Chair in her hometown of Randolph. She has also been named one of Save Jersey’s Right Women to Watch and one of InsiderNJ’s Millennials on the Rise.
In 2023, Sydney earned The Biscayne Group’s first Reed Award nomination for a write-in campaign in Hopatcong where, despite losing the election, were able to earn 780 write-in votes each for two separate candidates.
Sydney is also active in her community, serving on the Randolph Township Economic Development Committee and is a member of Impact 100 Garden State.
She lives in Randolph, New Jersey.
Ashley Todd
VICE PRESIDENT
Ashley Todd has been the Vice President of The Biscayne Group since its inception in 2021.
For over a decade, she has worked at every level of successful campaigns up and down the East Coast. Her experience and insider knowledge are a critical asset to campaigns both big and small.
Ashley has served as a speaker for AIPAC, on the Republican County Committee in her hometown of West Milford, and was the first woman elected to two terms as Chair of the New Jersey College Republicans.
Ashley co-founded the New Jersey Bipartisan Youth Council and has been named one of Save Jersey’s Right Women to Watch, Save Jersey’s 30 Under 30, InsiderNJ’s 100 Millennials to Watch, InsiderNJ’s 100 Influential Millennials, and ObserverNJ’s Rising Stars: 10 of New Jersey’s Youngest Political Talents.
Ashley also has extensive experience in government and policy. She has served as the Grassroots Director for Americans for Prosperity and the Director of Partnerships for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, where she managed the $1.6 million Partnerships Matching Funds Program to finance capital projects across the Commonwealth’s state-owned parks.
She currently serves as Clerk of Mt. Arlington, New Jersey.
She lives in West Milford, New Jersey with her husband and daughter .
